Sunshine Kaidi New Energy Group Co., Ltd. (Kaidi), formerly known as Wuhan Kaidi Holding Investment Co., Ltd., is a Wuhan, China based, hi-tech energy saving, environmental protection, and green energy investment company founded in 1992. The company changed its name to Sunshine Kaidi New Energy Group Co., Ltd. in December of 2011 to more accurately reflect its core values.

Kaidi is on the international forefront of biomass gasification synthetic fuel technology. In 2013, Kaidi installed the world’s first advanced commercial biomass fuel production line successfully capable of producing high-quality kerosene, gasoline and diesel from agricultural and forestry waste.

With its commitment to a low-carbon future and strong support of local business growth, Kaidi has established strategic alliances with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchange (CICETE) of Ministry of Commerce for Sustainable Sourcing for Biomass Energy Development in China. Kaidi works with local farmers, public governments and local organizations to establish sourcing models that provide reliable, high quality biomass materials for production, increase farmers’ incomes, and supply clean sources of fuel regionally and globally.

While Kaidi is primarily known as the largest private biomass power generation company in China, it has four primary business platforms: existing biomass oil and gas business, biomass power generation, environmental protection, and large-scale project engineering, procurement and construction (EPC). To expand its reach in these 4 business platforms, Kaidi has made investments in a portfolio of global companies which includes SkyFuel, Inc.

RES Kaidi is a renewable and alternative energy technology and engineering services company headquartered in Westminster, Colorado. RES Kaidi is at the forefront of the industry and specializes in converting unused resources, trash, or waste feeds to higher value chemicals and energy sources to usher in the next wave of power. RES Kaidi was formed in 2014 when Sunshine Kaidi New Energy Group Co., Ltd. acquired the energy technology assets of Rentech, Inc.

Kaidi Finland was established by Sunshine Kaidi New Energy Group Co., Ltd. in 2016 in order to manage and construct a globally unique second-generation biofuel refinery in Kemi, Finland. Kaidi Finland will be in charge of all the operational work and process optimization throughout the project. In addition, it manages all the cooperation with different stakeholders to secure technology and build innovation partnerships.


Alter NRG

Alter NRG provides alternative energy solutions by transforming all types of waste and converting it into useful, renewable energy by a process of Plasma Gasification which utilizes its Westinghouse Plasma Corporation (WPC) Torch systems. Since 2002, Alter NRG has been the industry leader with a history of commercial plants that turn household waste into clean energy. Recently installed waste converting facilities are capable of processing 1000 tonnes of household waste per day, an amount equal to an average landfill site. In addition, current hazardous waste destruction facilities are able to process more than 500 hazardous waste streams.

Westinghouse Plasma Corporation (WPC) started the development of its plasma technology in support of National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) manned space shuttle program back in the 1960's; by continuously improving upon the technology, WPC has brought its benefits for commercial use. WPC plasma technology has been used for three decades in iron-melting foundries, steel mills, metals recycling, catalyst re-forming, and in the heating of blast furnaces. Commercially proven, the plasma gasification technology has been used to convert waste into energy since 2002. Today, WPC is the world leader in converting waste into clean energy through its advanced plasma gasification technology.
